COMMERICAL PILOT

The Commercial Pilot Certificate allows individuals to operate aircraft for compensation or hire. To obtain this certification, applicants must meet several requirements:

2. Eligibility: The applicant must hold at least a private pilot certificate.

3. Language: Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.

4. Medical Certificate: Hold at least a second-class medical certificate issued by an FAA-authorized aviation medical examiner.

5. Flight Hours: Accumulate a minimum of 250 total flight hours, which must include:

100 hours of pilot-in-command time.

50 hours of cross-country flight time.

20 hours of flight training with an instructor.

10 hours of solo flight time.

6. Knowledge Exam: Complete and pass the FAA Commercial Pilot Knowledge Test.

7. Checkride: Successfully complete a practical test (checkride) with an FAA examiner, demonstrating the required skills and knowledge.
